Long-Form Pricing for UAE Creators: YouTube Collabs and Podcast Appearances

The Industry Analyst7 min read

A Dubai-based business creator with 18,000 Instagram followers and 24,000 YouTube subscribers earned AED 22,500 last month from a single 12-minute YouTube integration with a Dubai SaaS company. Her equivalent Instagram Reel rate would have been AED 4,500. Long-form content is consistently underpriced relative to its actual brand value because most creators benchmark against Reel pricing. The right benchmark is production cost plus shelf-life value, both of which are much higher for long-form.

Why does long-form pay so much more?

Three reasons. First, production overhead: a 10-minute YouTube video takes 8 to 16 hours of work versus 2 to 4 hours for a Reel. Second, shelf life: a YouTube video continues to drive views and brand impressions for years; a Reel decays in 30 to 60 days. Third, audience intent: someone watching a 10-minute video is much further along the buying funnel than someone scrolling a Reel, which means brand conversion rates are dramatically higher.

What are typical UAE YouTube long-form rates?

YouTube rates in the UAE are catching up to global benchmarks but still trail US creator rates. The pricing depends heavily on view count rather than just subscriber count, because YouTube is a search engine first.

  • Micro YouTube (1K-10K average views): AED 2,500-AED 8,500 per 60-90 second integration
  • Mid YouTube (10K-50K average views): AED 8,500-AED 28,000 per integration
  • Macro YouTube (50K-200K average views): AED 28,000-AED 90,000 per integration
  • Dedicated video (full video about brand): 2 to 3 times integration rate
  • YouTube Shorts: 0.4 to 0.6 times equivalent Reel rate

How do you price podcast appearances?

Podcast appearances split into two types: paid guest spots (where you appear and the host pays you) and sponsored episodes (where a brand pays the podcast for an integration mentioning their product). For UAE creators with their own podcasts, brand-sponsored episodes pay AED 3,500 to AED 25,000 per integration depending on download numbers and audience profile. Business and finance podcasts pay highest because the audiences are advertiser-valuable.

What is fair for a guest podcast appearance?

If you are appearing as a guest on someone else's podcast, the convention in the UAE is no fee in either direction: it is a value exchange where you get audience reach and the host gets your content. The exception is if you have a strong personal brand and are appearing on a podcast much smaller than yours: in that case the smaller podcast may pay you AED 1,500 to AED 10,000 for the appearance. This is rare but not unheard of in Dubai's business creator scene.

YouTube long-form is the highest-margin format in creator economics. If you have not built a YouTube channel yet, the math says start.

How do you price YouTube integrations vs dedicated videos?

A YouTube integration is a 60 to 90 second segment within a longer video about another topic. A dedicated video is a 5 to 15 minute video entirely about the brand or product. Dedicated videos are 2 to 3 times the integration price because the entire video is brand content. Most UAE creators offer both: integration at AED 12,000 and dedicated video at AED 28,000 to AED 35,000 in the 30K-80K subscriber tier.

What about cross-platform repurposing?

When you produce a YouTube long-form, you can usually cut it into 3 to 6 Reels and Stories. Some brands want the whole package: long-form plus all the cut-downs. Bundle this as a Cross-Platform Package: AED 35,000 to AED 90,000 for full YouTube long-form plus 4 Reels plus Stories plus 1 in-feed post. The bundle should be priced 15 to 20 percent below the sum of separate items. Brand managers love this because it is one campaign, one invoice.

How do you handle approval cycles for long-form?

Long-form content has more complex approval cycles than Reels. Build into your contract: brand gets one round of feedback after rough cut, one round after fine cut, and final approval before publish. Beyond that, additional revision rounds are billed at AED 1,500 to AED 4,500 per round. Without this structure, brands will request endless tweaks and your hourly rate collapses.

When should you not take a long-form deal?

When the brand wants to dictate the script, the editing style, and the exact phrasing. At that point you are doing a video production job, not a creator integration. Either charge production rates (AED 800 to AED 2,000 per finished minute on top of creator fees) or pass on the deal. Brands that want full control should be hiring a production house, not a creator.

Long-form rates are the most underpriced thing in the UAE creator economy. If you are producing YouTube videos at AED 4,500 because that is your Reel rate, you are leaving 60 to 80 percent of revenue on the table. Build a long-form pricing tier into your storefront and stick to it.
